Important Dates for MFA Students
Jan. 14, 2019: Thesis publication or request publishing embargo deadline.
Feb. 8, 2019: Deadline for May 2019 graduates to file or reactivate application for graduation with GAPE.
March 1: Candidacy forms due for August 2019 graduates.
April 1: Deadline for applications for 2019–20 TAships and GAships to the Graduate Coordinator.
April 1: Thesis proposals for Fall 2019 299 credit due; to be submitted to the graduate committee to take 299 units in Fall 2019.
April 2: Candidacy forms due for December 2019 graduates to GAPE.
April 2: Thesis submission deadline for May 2019 graduates (signed theses) to the Graduate Studies office.
April 2: Deadline for December 2019 to submit their petitions for Candidacy to GAPE.
April 17: Legacy of Poetry Festival: “Fire and Water” reading with Forrest Gander and Arthur Sze, MLK Library 225/229, 7:00 p.m. Free admission.
May 17: Last day for sign-ups for the Fall 2018 MFA Exam.
June 10: Last day for May 2019 graduates to submit approved MA and MFA theses for electronic publication. (Remember to select the “embargo” option.)
July 1: Deadline for August 2019 graduates to submit approved theses to Graduate Studies.
