The EOP Tutoring program offers tutoring in a wide variety of subjects and is open to all EOP students. General help with most writing assignments is also available.
Clark Hall 128 (down the hall from the EOP Front Counter)
Monday through Thursday from 9am to 7pm
Due to the demand for tutoring this semester, we have had to schedule group tutoring sessions in an attempt to accommodate as many tutor requests as possible.
Also, we are having trouble matching all tutor requests that have come in due to a lack of available tutors who can meet your requested day/time and course. We are in the process of hiring a few more tutors to accommodate as many tutor requests as possible. Please be patient, though, because it will take 2-3 weeks to hire additional tutors.
Tips for Group Tutoring:
- Exchange contact information with peers (email, phone number, etc.)
- Form study groups outside of your tutoring sessions
- Help your peers who are struggling
- Explain material and concepts to the group
- Provide feedback to each other
- Look to the tutor for help with the group is stuck
Students are required to attend tutoring if they are first time freshmen in any remedial courses or if they are on academic probation and if they are registered for any of the courses listed below. If you are taking remedial courses and/or are on academic probation, you are also encouraged to request tutoring for your other courses as well. Please check your specific requirements for more information. Priority will be given to those students that have been mandated to attend EOP tutoring.
