About the European Studies Program

The European studies combine fields of study normally taught in separate departments history, literature, music, philosophy, and art history.  Upon graduation, students who have majored in European studies will have a good grasp of Western culture, an appreciation of literature and the fine arts, an understanding of fundamental moral and political issues, and an ability to analyze and assess human experience with some acumen.
