Make-up lab, Numerical Solutions to F=ma

This lab is on numerical analysis and has the students using Excel to calculate numerical solutions to the trajectory of an object falling with air resistance.  The goal of this lab is to familiarize students with the basic functions of a spreadsheet and the idea of numerical approximations to solutions.  To that end the students should be taught proper techniques to avoid "hardcoding" variables into the spreadsheet. You can point out to the students the difference between a relative reference and an absolute reference as differentiated by the "$" before the column or row number (with a "$" gives an absolute reference, without it is relative), and have them create cells where all variable values are stored.
