ENTRY-LEVEL POSITIONS: SEEKING GRADUATES INTERESTED IN EVENT MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS <> SportsLink, the owner and producer of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, is seeking qualified candidates to coordinate, manage, and execute 2009 U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Tour for the Fall of 2008. Selection Tour teams present and announce the official selection of each U.S. Army All-American (91 high school marching band members and 90 high school football players) at their respective high schools during assemblies, pep rallies, and press conferences. Tour teams will also have the opportunity to interact with music directors throughout the nation and various U.S. Army VIP's at special tour events. Selection Tour events consist of event coordination/operations, public presentations, brand management, public relations, media management, and budget management. Selection Tour personnel will be responsible for executing SportsLink's national grass-roots marketing campaign that will include significant travel (early October - early December). Upon completion of the tour, members are integrated into the operational components of executing the game. Each year outstanding performers are asked to join SportsLink on a full-time basis. The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is considered the nation's premier All-American game by high school football players, coaches, music educators, and fans from around the country. The 2008 game introduced the inaugural U.S. Army All-American Marching Band under the direction of Bob Buckner and his all-star staff of instructors. The 2009 game will be played on Saturday, January 3, 2009 in San Antonio, live on NBC.
