What is geography?
Geography is the study of the earth and its features including the impacts living inhabitants have on it.
What is the difference between geography and geology?
Geography focuses more on the landscapes at the surface of the earth rather than the internal processes that shape our planet. For example, geographers are interested in how the Himalayas affect the landscape and climate and how humans adjust to life in or near these high mountains. Geologists are more interested in how the Himalayas got there (plate tectonics, etc.)
Why study geography?
We live in a world that is becoming more and more interconnected every day. It is important to learn about the people and resources that we have so many ties with so that we may learn to coexist in a positive and efficient way. Sadly, Americans rank very low in geography testing comparing to other nations - including less developed nations! So let's change that. If that's too serious for you, check out this funny list of the top 10 reasons to study geography.
Where can I take geography courses?

What can I do with a degree in geography?
The Association of American Geographers has an extensive list of possible jobs in geography
