Welcome to my faculty website.
Here, you'll find information about my courses, including lists of
online
resources that have are authoritative on a variety of topics.
I have a series of
ongoing projects that deal with 19th Century British literature and
innovations in technology. If interested, you may follow me on a variety of
social networking sites, including Twitter or
Zotero, a free online bibliographic site that helps to collect, manage
and cite a variety of research sources (both online and print). My library
of research is listed here. To flip through a list of my publications, see
my
curriculum vitae. Of late, I have been heavily engaged in educational
technology and its relationship with research and learning, i.e., a Digital
Humanist.
To read about a day in the life of Digital Humanists, see the blog project
by University of Alberta, Canada.

Because of the drastic cuts to our budget this
year,
faculty have been asked to take 9 furlough days each semester. Of
course, this affects my schedule, class sessions and office hours. I will not be
allowed to answer/return phone calls, answer emails or even sit in my office on
these days. See the calendar below to help you find me. Please also read
this letter [pdf]
and contact your state legislators about this crisis.
