The Light Window

Dr. Jekyll - "Oh, how I long for the light and fresh air of day. I used to walk in the light without fear and I wish I could have joined my dear friend Utterson for that walk. It feels at times that during day is the only time when I'm free from the dark influences."

"The court was very cool and a little damp, and full of premature twilight, although the sky , high up overhead, was still bright with sunset. The middle one of the three windoes was halfway open; and sitting close beside it, taking the air with an infinite sadness of mien, like some disconsolate prisoner, Utterson saw Dr Jekyll." (Stevenson, 39)
