Screen Savers

     Installers

When you click on the image you should get the Save File window, save the file to your home computer.  These are virus-free executable files and they are very large files, depending on your connection speed it may take 15 -30 minutes to download each one.  Locate the downloaded file on your computer and a simple double click with the left mouse button will install the screen saver to the appropriate Windows folder and make that screen saver active on your desktop.  If you ever wish to change your screen saver back to what you had before, right click on your desktop to bring up the Display Properties window and click the screensavers tab to change the active screensaver.

These screen savers are optimized for monitors set to High Color (16 bit) and a resolution of 1024x768 pixels.  However they will  also work well at 800x600 pixel and 1152x864 resolutions.

1.  Beautnz.exe
Installs "Beautiful New Zealand" screen saver. See the Beautiful New Zealand slideshow for the descriptions of each image shown.  The pictures are in the order of our trip from Christchurch down to the east coast of the South Island, up the west coast and then up the North Island.
2.  Eilenenz.exe
Installs "Eilene in New Zealand" screen saver. Again the pictures are in the order of our trip around New Zealand.  For Miriam we wrote "Miriam in the Middle Kingdom" (http://www.sjsu.edu/faculty/jenglish/MMK/MMkTitle.html).  We have updated this parental habit to put Eilene's experiences in New Zealand into a new media format. See the Eilene in New Zealand slideshow for the descriptions of each image shown.

Wallpapers
These wallpapers are optimized for monitors set to High Color (16 bit) and a resolution of 1024x768 pixels.  They will  also work well at 800x600 pixel with a little clipping around the edges or if the display menu on the background tab of the Display Properties window has a "stretch" selection.

Click the image, and when the Save File window comes up, save the file to the Windows folder of your home computer.  The image will then be an option in the Background menu.
