- TUES: Studio: Value Project Painting begins - MATERIALS: photo collage (from 3/17), illustration board (15x20"), ruler, exacto knife (we will be cutting the illustration board into a 3x15" piece (for value scale) and a 15x17" piece (for portrait), acrylic paint, brushes etc.
- THURS: - Lecture 5: Composition; Bring to class Artist/Time period choice FROM THIS LIST written on a small piece of paper. Research groups formed.

- Work on Value Project
- Look through the list of artists and paintings. Choose a time period and artist you are interested in. Write this down. (bring to class Tuesday)

- Finish Value Project, due Tuesday
- Research your chosen artist and post information as comment on correct Group in the BLOG (there are 4 groups).
- Composition study of your chosen painting (see Homework section in monotype project description for directions) we will help with this assignment in class if you bring the photocopy and traced image.
- Bring materials, including PLEXIGLASS and WATERCOLORS to class next Tuesday (if you could not find plexi - I have a limited amount to lend, but, if you want one you must email me before Tuesday)
