EXPERIMENTS WITH COLOR-AID PAPER:

Beginning Thursday, the class will be working in groups (5) for these COLOR experiments (based on the work of JOSEF ALBERS). Groups will share paper but each student is responsible for 10 completed compositions.

MATERIALS:
Color-Aid paper (I will bring - from the fee already collected)
Bristol Board
Rubber Cement
Scissors, exacto knife, metal ruler

1-3: 1 color look like 2

4-5: 3 colors look like 2. the third color looks like the opposite ground (begin with tints of same hue)

6-8: 2 colors look like 1 (different colors look alike)

9: Vibrating Colors - (this composition will be a single square)

10: critique/participation

- each composition must be neatly mounted on 9x12" bristol board
- identify each composition in pencil at the bottom of the bristol board. Example: 1 like 2
- include your name on back

CRITERIA:
1. Accuracy of each experiment (be sure to identify each properly)
2. Amount of actual color change (must really wow me for an A!)
3. Beauty of design and presentation (professional!)
4. 10 points will be given for active critique participation
