- Choose a museum from the list found on the LINKS page. Spend several hours looking at the various exhibits in the museum, with special attention paid to COLOR.
- Choose one work (any medium) or group of related works in the museum. Note the Title, Artist, Year, Size, Medium, and any other information provided. Make thumbnail sketches as a visual aid, making notes about color.
- Write a one page paper which discusses this work in the context of COLOR. Students are expected to use the specific vocabulary covered during the semester (see bottom of this page) along with examples from the work. Be specific enough so that the reader can picture the work. Include titles of paintings and any relevant links to pictures.
- Paper must be printed out on a single sheet of paper (if you need more space use the back). Here is an example of information required at the top of page:

CRITERIA: (counts as one UNIT grade)

Demonstrated understanding of issues of color as they apply to the chosen work. BE SPECIFIC!
2. A strong, formal discussion using the terms covered in course and readings.

Galleries always have free admission. They are usually closed on Sundays and Mondays.
