  • On Bristol Board: Make a line drawing of a cylindrical object that belongs to you (hat, cup etc.). Use only line networks and line weight to indicate values. (pencils 2B, 3B)

  2. On newsprint, using a ruler - draw and label horizon line (HL) and one vanishing point (VP). Draw 5 cubes in ONE-point perspective some above and some below the horizon line. (due Tuesday 10/13)

We will not meet in class today. Instead students will visit the KING LIBRARY to check out a CATALOG on an artist. Here is a list of suggested artists. Most catalogs can be found on the third floor, some are also on seventh. Get to know your artist. Choose one painting and make a good quality photocoyy of it for homework assignement > > >

  • Start with a frame that is the same proportions as original.
  • Draw a grid on the photocopy for proportions.
  • Make a 5 hour drawing, carefully rendered of this painting.
