The Western Commission for the Study of Religion is a non profit organization with 501 (c)(3) status with the federal government. The Executive Secretary of WECSOR, presently Professor Richard E. Keady of San Jose State University, is responsible for coordinating the annual meeting of the American Academy of Religion/Western Region and the Society for Biblical Literature, Pacific Coast Region, research and academic organizations dedicated to the study of religion and the Bible.
