Dynamic HTML

Dynamic HTML is an enhancement of HTML which, among other things, allows the viewer of a webpage to interact with the page. It does this using functions which can be created using scripting languages. But in order for the scripting language functions to change the appearance of a web page there has to be a way of designating parts of the HTML code in the page. This done with the <SPAN> </SPAN> tags. with the <SPAN> tag an attribute allows the naming of the block of code appearing between the tags. This name for the block of code can be referenced in the script functions.

There are four mouse events that may be used to intiate a change in a web page by the activation of a scripting function:

In addition function can be actuated by the onLoad event.
