General View of the Theme Center
Dominating the scene are the 700-foot Trylon which serves as a beacon and as part of the public address system, and the 18-story Perisphere, within which visitors view from a revolving platform a dramatization of the World of Tomorrow. Clusters of fountains screen the piers which supports the great Sphere so that it appears to be poised on jets of water.
