International Students

A Group of Students at Caesar Chavez Park Water Fountains

The Financial Aid & Scholarship Office at San José State University provides scholarship availability to international students only after the students have established a grade point average at SJSU for at least one semester of attendance. This is a requirement for all students applying for the Spartan Scholarship, not only for international students. Please be aware that international students will only be eligible for those scholarships that are merit-based. Need-based scholarships are part of Financial Aid, which is unavailable to international students.

Fellowships and scholarships are offered by organizations or agencies, other than SJSU, such as churches or fraternal organizations. You also may be eligible for student assistant jobs and scholarships offered by your major department.
