Financial aid is based on full-time enrollment.
If you
plan to be enrolled less than full-time, complete the Student Information
Update Form . Financial aid funds may be prorated for
students who are enrolled for less
than full-time. Please note: Failure to return this form will delay your
disbursement.
Fee deferrals are temporary and are issued once all requested documents are
submitted to the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office. To prevent enrollment
cancellation, you must submit all requested documents prior to the payment
deadline. A fee deferral will hold
classes and delay payment of registration fees only while the financial
aid process is completed. It is
your responsibility to pay your academic costs if you complete your financial
aid file after the semester has started. A fee deferral
will not be issued. Check MySJSU
for your fee deferral status.
6.
Disbursement of Funds
The disbursement of funds begins on a weekly basis,
starting the first week of the semester. Your financial aid funds will
apply to your student account and pay any outstanding fees owed to the
university. The balance of funds (if any) will be either mailed to you
or you can have the funds deposited into a checking/savings account
electronically. Click here for information regarding eRefunds .
Disbursement of funds may
be held for several reasons such as not enrolled in sufficient number of
units, academic progress holds, missing information, etc.

placed on your financial aid.
Maintain at least a 2.0 GPA as an undergraduate or 3.0 as
