International Students
SJSU does not offer financial aid or assistance to international students. Work permits in the U.S. are difficult to obtain,
although it may be possible for you to obtain employment on campus. All applicants to the
university must complete the “Declaration of Finances”. Assistance for which you may be eligible includes fellowships and scholarships offered by organizations or agencies other than the University, such as churches or fraternal organizations with which you already have affiliations. Once you are enrolled here, you also may be eligible for student assistance jobs and the scholarships offered by the department of the field in which you will be majoring. We recommend that you visit these on-line resources to research potential scholarship opportunities: http://www.internationalstudent.com - A great site with tips on schools,
living in the US, money issues, test preparations and a message board.
Remember, when searching for financial assistance such as scholarships you should not pay any money, these web-sites offer free assistance in searching and are legitimate. |
