Continuing Students
- To be considered for summer aid, you must first
register in at least half time units at San Jose State University. (6 units
for undergrad/post-baccalaureate/credential students, 4 units for graduate
students)
- Once registered in the required units, come to the
Financial Aid and Scholarship Office and speak with a counselor to determine
your summer aid eligibility. The final date to apply for summer 2008 aid is
Friday, June 20,
2008.
- Financial assistance will be based on remaining
eligibility from the current 2007 - 2008 academic year.
Summer Aid Programs:
- Grants
Funds are limited and based on available funding
resources. - Loans
Limited loan options
are available to summer students, based on remaining
eligibility.
- Federal Work/Study
Summer earnings will affect your 2008-2009
budget.
Disbursement Process:
Disbursement checks are mailed to the mailing address
that is on file with Admissions and Records. Make sure your information is
current on MySJSU.
Emergency Loans:
Emergency loans are available through the Bursar's
Office. Contact the
Bursar's Office for more information
. To be eligible you
must:
- Have no outstanding debts to the university
- Must have sufficient summer financial aid or be gainfully employed
