Cassandra Carpenter is an Executive Board and member United Scenic Artists Local 829, Bay Area Costumer’s Alliance (founding member and past President and VP), Costume Design Instructor San Francisco State University (Fall 2008), and currently an Instructor/Designer for Costume and Makeup at San José State University's Department of Film and Theatre.
Cassandra has been a professional costume designer in the Bay Area for over 25 years. Theatre credits include: ACT Conservatory productions, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Marin Theatre Company, San Jose Repertory Company, San Jose Stage Company, The Magic Theatre, Word for Word, Aurora Theatre Company, San Francisco Shakespeare Company, Center Repertory Company and 2 operas for Chanticleer.
Dance design: Smuin Ballets, S. F., ODC, Anne Bluthenthal Dancers. She was on the costume staff of Oregon Shakespeare Festival; Old Globe Theatre, San Diego; Berkeley Rep, San Jose Rep and California Shakespeare Festival.
Cassandra also operates CMC & design a professional costume studio in San Francisco. Clients include: Smuin Ballet, SF; San Francisco Ballet; San Francisco Opera; Macys: Baz Luhrman’s La Boheme, Jersey Boys; Martin Short; and White Christmas on Broadway and in the UK. Film credits include several video games,independent films and Super Hero Party Clown for Spartan Studios at SJSU.
