Ms. Dyan McBride is proud to teach the art of musical theatre performance at San Jose State. Dyan has worked as an actor or director with notable companies such as 42nd St. Moon (23 seasons), Woodminster, Center Repertory Theatre, Diablo Theatre Company, Sacramento Theatre Company, Lucky Penny, Ray of Light, Marin Theatre Company, Pacific Coast Repertory Theatre, Actor’s Theatre of Sonoma, Laguna Playhouse, Napa Repertory, Broadway by the Bay, Utah Musical Theatre and Performance Riverside. Multimedia work includes film, voice-over, print and commercials for companies like Polycom, Remedy, Yahoo, Nintendo, Progressive Auto Insurance, Coremark, Comcast.  She is featured in the web series Lien on Me and the rock documentary, Springsteen and I.  She is also in the new short film, Generations, which is making the rounds on the festival circuit.  Besides SJSU, Ms. McBride is an adjunct professor of theatre arts at Solano Community College and Academy of Art.  She also serves as Director of Education for 42nd St. Moon and is an Associate Artist with Lucky Penny. MFA -UC Davis (Acting). Member-SAG/AFTRA and AEA. Represented by Boom Models and Talent.  Dyan is grateful to make a living in the arts. Whether she is acting, singing, directing or teaching, she knows how lucky she is to be in any "room where it happens." She is the dog mom of Ellis and Violet, married to the handsome/talented/smart Dennis O’Brien, has a terrific family and lovely friends.  She likes to read, garden and rock out.
