International Application Deadlines (F-1 Visa) for Spring Admission

Applications for Spring 2018 admissions open on August 1, 2017. International applications for Spring 2018 are limited to the programs listed below.

Below are deadlines for applicants that need a student visa to study in the U.S. If you are not applying for or currently hold an F-1 or J-1 visa, please visit the Domestic Applicants page for more information and instruction to apply as a domestic student.

If you hold a B visa of any type, please designate yourself as an international applicant within the Cal State Apply application.

Our Graduate Programs page will provide more information about your intended degree program.

IMPORTANT: In order to successfully apply for an international student visa, you will need to correctly designate yourself as an international applicant planning to study on an F-1 or J-1 visa at the beginning of your Cal State Apply application during the “Complete Your Profile” section.

If you do not follow the steps to designate yourself as an international applicant, your application may get withdrawn.  If you mistakenly apply as a domestic applicant and intend to study on an international student visa for a program that is NOT being offered to international students, your application will be withdrawn.

Choose “Non Resident” as your U.S. Citizenship Status in your profile. If you have already started your application and need to change your U.S. Citizenship status, simply go to your extended profile within your Cal State Apply application and it will take you directly to this page again.  This step is needful and should be done before you select a graduate program.

Please Note:

Documents submitted for application processing/review cannot be returned.

Programs are subject to close at any time.

Application and document deadlines are subject to change without notice.

Enrollment limits may restrict our ability to accept qualified applicants. To ensure consideration of your application, be sure to apply and submit documents as early as possible.
