The Faculty-Led Program to Spain is being offered for the first time in 2018. However, here are some thoughts that Professor Singamsetti's students from her 2017 Puerto Rico FLP would like to share about going on an FLP with her!
Studying abroad in Puerto Rico was hands down the best experience I have ever had! In the short 17 days that I was there, I was able to learn about the Puerto Rican culture and make so many new memories with the amazing people on the trip. Deepa was well organized and helped to make the experience truly amazing.- Brittany Harper
Traveling to Puerto Rico with the FLP was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience with extraordinary people! The itinerary was packed to the brim with so many excursions that I would've never experienced if I had traveled there on my own vacation. Going on the Puerto Rico FLP was by far one of the best decisions I have made in my life. It gives you the opportunity to truly bond with other SJSU students and faculty, while also allowing you to explore a beautiful island. The things you get to see and learn about first hand are priceless. Besides the beautiful, wonderful beaches and breathtaking views, Puerto Rico is filled with extraordinary, historic landmarks. With the amazing help from our tour guides, we were able to experience our trip to the best of our abilities. If you want to see happiness in one picture, then Puerto Rico is the best place. Puerto Rico has been my greatest and most memorable educational trip I have been on. I have grown in ways I thought I never could, and made memories with people I will forever cherish in my heart. Puerto Rico is rich in culture, food, love, and kindness. If you are hesitant on going - I highly encourage you to go, especially with an amazing professor that is passionate in what she teaches. The FLP program to Puerto Rico was such an enlightening and incredible experience that exceeded my expectations.
