Capture the Dream

Capture the Dream, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) California nonprofit dedicated to helping under-served and at-risk individuals succeed at school and find fulfilling, sustaining careers. Each year, one of the ways that Capture the Dream, Inc. helps to further education and support future community leaders is by offering two  $1,000 scholarships for graduating high school students and/or continuing undergraduate students:

  • Single Parent Scholarship 2016
    One (1) $1,000 scholarship available. Low-income, single parents who are California residents and will be enrolled full or part-time at a 2- or 4-year institution in Fall 2013 are eligible to apply.
  • Minorities in Leadership Scholarship 2016
    One (1) $1,000 scholarship available. Low-income, minority students who are California residents and will be enrolled full time at a 4-year institution in Fall 2013 are eligible to apply.

Both scholarships require a completed Scholarship Application Form, Cover Letter, Professional Resume, Official High School and/or College Transcript, Financial Aid Web-Award Confirmation, Essay (1000 words or less), and a Letter of Recommendation.  There is no application fee.

AAUW Fellowships & Grants

American Fellowships

Who may apply: Women pursuing full-time study to complete dissertations, conducting postdoctoral research full time, or preparing research for publication for eight consecutive weeks
Funding: $6,000–$30,000
