Elizabeth is a Doctoral Candidate who specializes in human geography in the Earth and Environmental Sciences Department at the Graduate Center, City University of New York. Her research interests include, political economy, uneven geographic development, maritime history, trade and development, Indian Ocean studies, global environmental policy, development geography, shipbreaking, production of ocean-space, and labor. Her research has been supported by a CUNY Graduate Dissertation Fellowship, ARC Knickerbocker Award for Archival Research, Human Geography Grant, American Institute of Bangladesh Studies Pre-dissertation Fellowship, and CUNY Doctoral Student Research Grants.
