SJSU Geology Field Camp

Field Camp VistaThe San José State University geology department offers a six-week field camp course in two out of every three years. Geology 129 (Field Geology) is split into two sessions when it is offered. A required 2-unit course is held during the spring semester (129 A). The summer session offers the choice of a 4-unit, 4 week course (129 B) or 2-unit, 3 week course (129 C); only one of these summer courses are needed to finish the field camp requirement.

It is strongly recommended that both courses are finished within the same calendar year. Please see the current undergraduate advisor for details.

Field camp was most recently held in Summer of 2016. Spring/Summer Field Camp 2017 will be led by Ryan Portner. Watch this page for further information on future field camps.
