SJSU Fraternities and Sororities

More than 30,000 students will attend San José State University this fall. For many students, this is the largest academic setting they have been involved with. Students at San José State University don't have to be lost in the crowd. The SJSU Greek Life Community can help students find their place at a big university by providing them with a circle of friends and a wealth of activities from which to choose.

For more than 100 years, students at San José State University have been choosing the Greek life-style. Today, SJSU has 20 fraternities and 13 sororities and the diversity of over 1,000 members. The Greek Community offers something for all students, no matter what their background or interests may be, Greek life is many things; but, most of all, it is what the individual members make of it. San José State University's Greek Community is a great way for students to become part of the university, excel academically, develop leadership skills, participate in philanthropic events, athletic events and socialize.

Membership in a fraternity or sorority is the perfect way for students to have a support system and also have a sense of family, no matter how far away from home they are. The Greek Community at San Jose State University offers students the opportunity to develop tools for success and create friendships which will last a lifetime.
