Interfraternity Council

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) governs our national general interest fraternities, which are members of the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC). There are tEleven (9 chapters + 2 colony) IFC fraternities at SJSU. Most of the IFC fraternities maintain chapter homes in the surrounding community. There may be opportunities to live in the chapter house once you become a member. IFC fraternities conduct major recruitment periods (rush) at the beginning of each semester. You can meet IFC members at the fraternity tables, forums, house tours, and joint events in the first few days of each semester. For about a week after that, the chapters hold individual events that allow interested students to get to know the members and the organization.

The member chapters of IFC are as follows:
Beta Theta Pi
Alpha Tau Omega (colony)
Delta Sigma Phi  (colony)
Delta Upsilon
Kappa Sigma
Pi Kappa Alpha (PIKE)
Sigma Alpha Epsilon
Sigma Chi
Sigma Nu
