SJSU is excited to offer a mandatory 1 ½ day orientation program designed just for freshmen and a one day recommended program for parents. Frosh Orientation is overnight in the campus residence halls and is specifically created to make the transition from high school to college easier for you. Orientation is delivered and maintained by Academic Advising and Retention Services and the office of Student Involvement. Both departments are staffed with professional and trained student staff.

Registration for Frosh Orientation is an ONLINE portion of the NextSteps Process. You must complete the entire NextSteps process to be able to attend Frosh Orientation, register for classes, and become a matriculated SJSU student.
