Get involved and take risks! Don't sit back and expect that good things will come to you, go out and find them! Step outside your comfort zone. You are here for school first and foremost. So, don't let your academics fade into the background.

Picking a favorite memory at SJSU is like trying to find that one needle in a hay stack!! My favorite by far has to be when i got the call about my new OL job.The best part was when the word spread and i was congratulated by everyone. I felt not only accomplished but insanely happy!

My best advice for a first time freshman is…

College is a great place for students to find their passion and discover who they are. It is said that college is the best 4 years of your life, so freshmen need to make that happen.

My legacy is…

I want to leave this school as a student that made a difference. I want to help start organizations that help the homeless community. I hope that through my encouragement and effort, I can also encourage incoming freshman to get involved and hopefully find themselves.

Being part of the Summer Bridge Program this past summer was a very memorable experience that helped me transition into the university.

To be Open minded, have a positive attitude, and to not be afraid to ask questions or ask for help. As It is understandable for them to get homesick, however getting involved on campus can help as a distraction and open more doors for them. I would also advise them to get to know their professors on a deeper level and try to become as informed as possible with campus resources.

My legacy is…

I am a warm hearted individual who is very driven, motivated, and enthusiastic. Over all, I look forward to being as involved here at SJSU, because I enjoy making a difference, and helping others be happy and successful.

My favorite memory at SJSU was attending my first football game Fall 2012 and getting all spartan-up for the game. I remember I went with all my friends and roommates and we had a lot of fun. Also, SJSU won the intense game which made the experience even more memorable.

Get involved, use the resources you've been given on campus! Also make sure to focus on grades. They should be first priority!

My legacy is..

Just beginning! I am a first generation citizen on my dads side & the first to go away to college when considering my mothers side. I spent the last couple of years getting a feel for the school, now I'm ready to be actively involved in my experience here at SJSU.

Stop caring about what other think about you. These are your years to find yourself, your true self. In the upcoming years, you will learn more about your core values than you have in your lifetime. Above all, enjoy yourself. How can you make others happy when you cannot even be happy for yourself?
