Nuts and Bolts for Student Organizations

Gain practical skills! This service will provide leadership skills training and development specifically geared towards the enrichment and success of student organizations. Sessions are offered the first Wednesday of the month and are a great way for officers and members to quickly acquire strategies to improve their organizations. 

Schedule

All sessions are scheduled on Wednesdays from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Student Involvement Classroom, Suite 140, Clark Hall

How to Keep Your New and Old Members Motivated - October 7th
Learn fun activities and tips to keep your members engaged with your organization!

Balancing Academics and Your Student Leadership - November 4th
It's easy sometimes to let your academic load slip when your leading your organization. Come to this session and learn strategies to balance your involvement and academics!

The 1, 2, 3's of Event Planning - December 2nd
This workshop shares the basics of planning an event, creating a budget and publicizing the event so that the program will be a success!

I'm Stressed! - February 3rd
Stress is an almost everyday occurrence both in the classroom and with your organization. Come to this session to learn how to manage and relieve the stress in your life.

Passing the Gavel…Officer Transitioning - March 3rd
Don't leave your club unprepared! This workshop will outline the steps to a smooth transition of leadership for your organization.

Summer is Here…Now What? - April 7th
Take advantage of the Summer to plan the upcoming year, conduct fundraisers, carry out officer transitioning, and more! This workshop will give you great ideas on how to make your summer more effective.
