The college’s four schools and seven departments provide students with a theoretical base developed and tested through research, knowledge that can be applied in diverse systems, processes that incorporate human understanding and cooperation, and supervised practice in a variety of career-related settings.

We are proud of recent accomplishments our commitment to excellence has enabled:

• An unprecedented 98.31 percent of SJSU nursing school graduates who took the NCLEX-RN Licensure Exam in the first quarter of 2012 passed on their first attempt.
• A new virtual research center, The Center for Information Research and Innovation, was launched to benefit a global audience.
• Pulitzer Prize winner and Assistant Professor Kim Komenich’s photography project, "Revolution Revisited," has been in great demand across the country.
