Student EducatorOur college has been preparing educators for over a century and a half through rigorous undergraduate and graduate study and professional credentialing programs. Our programs have prepared some of the best, brightest, and most committed educators in the Bay Area and beyond.

We are proud to share our recent accomplishments with you:

  • Our faculty members are using and modeling new technologies for teaching and learning in 18 renovated classrooms and labs designed specifically to encourage collaboration and innovative approaches to teaching.
  • Out of a large pool of applicants, 16 people from school districts and educational organizations were chosen to begin the inaugural EdD in Educational Leadership program this summer. Another 15 doctoral students will be admitted this spring.

There is so much more we want to do, such as:

  • Provide students with better opportunities to observe children’s development through the renovation and refurbishment of our preschool into one location with an enhanced and enlarged play area.
  • Enable doctoral students to acquire a global perspective on education by increasing funding for the international component of our new EdD program, including a challenge grant program that would match student funds.

Gifts impact these goals and the college’s mission for those who want to make a difference today. With these gifts, we’re able to recruit strong and innovative faculty members and attract students with the ability to impact the many struggling schools in our community. Please consider making an annual gift online to make a difference today and in the future.

Thank you,
