Our college transforms science majors into professionals fully qualified for a global and regional Silicon Valley work force, and prepares them for advanced training and life-long learning. We provide core science education for engineers, health care professionals, K-12 teachers and many other technical fields, as well as basic mathematics and science skills to students in non-science majors. We instill our students with an awareness of science and technology so that they can be informed citizens in our highly technical and culturally diverse society.

Our goal is to enable all undergraduate students to achieve a well-rounded education by attaining the quantitative, critical thinking and scientific skills necessary for lifelong learning and informed decision-making on scientific issues. This year, to help us accomplish this goal, we have: 

• Upgraded classrooms and labs for improved safety and access to emerging technologies.
• Developed cross-college interdisciplinary programs in cybersecurity, data science and biotechnology.
• Focused on student success through intensive advising with professional advisors, faculty members and peer mentors.
