SJSU Fund Student Support and Activities Award Program
The Spartan Superway team provides a unique senior project opportunity to students in the mechanical, civil, electrical, industrial and computer engineering disciplines. Through donations from generous individuals such as yourself, our team has the opportunity to push the project even further and gain valuable knowledge and experience that will last a lifetime.

The purpose of the organization is to promote awareness between Sikh and non-Sikh communities on and off campus. Our main event, Sikh Turban Day, is made possible through your generous donations, and will be used to help bring cultural awareness to the students on campus.

Supporting Student Activities
In 2014, the Office of Annual Giving was very pleased to announce a new annual program that provides funds to support student organizations, services and activities: the SJSU Fund Student Support and Activities Award program! Through this program, students can apply for funds to support their student organization(s), services, programs and activities.
The Activities Award Program is designed to support student services beyond the classroom, enabling student organizations, activities and programs to further their impact while enhancing student intellectual, personal and civic growth. A total of $30,000 in awards was available for the inaugural year of the program.
In the first year, awards ranged from $850 to $2,500. Check out the list of 2014-15 Program Award Recipients.

Spartan Superway, a team of interdisciplinary SJSU students, faculty members and alumni working together to develop a sustainable futuristic renewable energy transportation system, used the award funds to purchase 2000 pounds of steel for the construction of a full scale model. They also won the "Best In Innovation" award at the Bay Area Maker Faire 2015.
SJSU Packaging Club
SJSU Packaging Club utilized their award funds to organize a Packaging Guest Lecture Program. They invited speakers from several companies such as Stryker Medical, Westpak, Amgen Biologics, Benefit Cosmetics, Method and Glass Packaging Institute, to give lectures on various topics relevant to the packaging industry.
