MySJSU, is the university’s student online information program for registration and records. You can use MySJSU to check the status of your application to SJSU. Just activate your MySJSU account, and then click on your “To Do” list to find out if anything is missing from your application. 

After you have been admitted to SJSU, you can use your MySJSU account to register for the required International Student Orientation, to register for your classes and to receive notifications from the university. MySJSU also offers free San Jose State University e-mail accounts to all SJSU students.


Advising Hub

 The Advising Hub brings all the different advising and counseling offices together to make it easier for you to find the updated, reliable information you need. Here you will find information on what a successful student may need to be thinking about and doing while attending SJSU. You can also start planning for your next semester studies.  


International Programs and Services Office

The International Programs and Services office has advisors who can help you with academic matters, immigration regulations, and personal concerns. If you are coming to the U.S. for the first time, they can give you useful information about SEVIS fees, necessary documents, medical insurance, test preparation, housing, and guidance for your visa interview. They can also tell you what to expect at the airport when you arrive in the U.S.. Their International Student Handbook is full of important information that will help you to have a successful academic life and pleasant stay in the U.S.


Campus Computer Service

The campus-wide wireless network, covers almost every building the SJSU campus, including Spartan Stadium. You can also connect wirelessly from many outdoor areas around campus and the MLK library. 

Many departments such as Business, Science, and Engineering have free Computer Labs reserved for the use of students enrolled in their programs of study. Computers for free public use are available in the King library.

Our campus bookstore is the place where you can find everything you need for your classes and more. When you get your books from the campus bookstore, you can be sure you are getting exactly what you need to be prepared for class. You can get your textbooks in the bookstore or online. There are several ways that we can help you save money on the textbooks you need. 

  • Printed Text-book Rental: Renting textbooks is easy. Many of our textbooks have a RENTAL option. You can save more than 50% of the cost of a new printed textbook when you rent. When you are in the bookstore, just look for the books with the "RENT ME" sticker on them and take them to the rental counter. You can also rent printed textbooks by shopping online.
  • e-Textbook Rental: There are thousands of e-Textbooks available. Your rented e-textbooks will be available to you for the entire semester of study. You can download your e-Textbook on your laptop, desktop, tablet and other device. When you rent an e-Textbook, you can save up to 50% off the regular price of a new printed textbook.
  • Used Printed Textbooks: You can save 25% to 50% on your textbooks by buying slightly “USED” books. Just look for the “USED” sticker when you are shopping online or in the bookstore.
  • New Printed Textbooks: Of course, new printed textbooks are always available. To save you money, our bookstore sells new printed textbooks at a 5% discount off the regular price. You can buy them in the bookstore or shopping online.


Martin Luther King Library

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library San José State University’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library is a student-centered library that provides information resources, services and programming through innovative uses of technology. The university library has a large collection of e-books that may be downloaded to your personal computer or wireless device 24/7. For those who prefer the more traditional presentation of information, the library houses more than 1.5 million printed volumes.
