Please note: As the application process is a two-step process, your application will be reviewed by SJSU’s Graduate Admissions and Program Evaluations (GAPE) office and, if you meet SJSU admission requirements, the academic program. Check the website of the academic program for program-specific admission requirements in addition to SJSU admission requirements.  Our Degree Program Requirements page has more information about your intended program, including what you would need to submit for their separate department application.

The application deadline is the deadline to submit the Cal State Apply application.

The document deadline is the deadline to submit all required documents to Graduate Admissions and Program Evaluations.  While document requirements vary, documents include an official WES evaluation (if education outside of the US or Canada) or official US/Canadian transcripts, English Language Proficiency exam (unless earned a degree from the US), Declaration of Finance form, Bank Statement, Current Passport, and Visa (if in US).
