Symposium on Assessment of Core Competencies

The 4th AnnualCSU Symposium on Assessment of Core Competencies was held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at San Jose State University.The Symposium focused on the definition of quantitative reasoning, where to integrate it in the curriculum, and how it can be assessed as well as case studies of core competency assessment, outcome definitions, and rubric development. Presentations included an overview of quantitative reasoning by Eric Gaze from Bowdoin College, WASC expectations by WSCUC Vice President Geoff Chase, and discussions of assessment of core competencies at several CSU campuses.
