Yes. The CSU has an agreement that special pricing on Microsoft Software. There are two parts to the agreement:
The software license is certification of your legal right to use the software. The media is the CD-ROM, or DVD, and/or set of disks that has the software on it. The documentation is the user manual or set of user manuals for the software. It is mandatory that users have a license before using the software. Possession of the media alone does not constitute a license. Purchase of documentation is optional.
Yes. Students can get software media through the Spartan Bookstore. For more information, contact the bookstore's computer department at (408) 924-1839 or visit their website at: www.spartanshops.com.
Yes, some software licenses that Microsoft has produced for the Mac user may be obtained through this special agreement.
Yes, SJSU faculty and staff may obtain licenses for home use as long as it will be used at least 80% of the time at home for University work.
