SJSU Students
The CSU has established software licensing agreements for Adobe, Brio, Filemaker, Interactive Mathematics, McAfee, Macromedia, Microsoft, Oracle, PeopleSoft, SPSS, and Symantec software. For a complete list of software licensing agreements, visit the CSU Software Department.
SJSU campus departments can obtain Adobe, Filemaker, McAfee, Microsoft and Symantec software at special contract prices. Campus faculty and staff can order on-line directly from ASAP e-Way using their Procurement Card or personal credit card for payment. First obtain a login id and password by completing the ASAP Software Registration Form available from SJSU Procurement & Support Services (PASS) Forms. Ordering instructions will be emailed to requestors when registration forms are processed. Contract questions should be directed to Keith Wandrey, Contract Services and Procurement, CSU Chancellor's Office at (562) 951-4582 or kwandrey@calstate.edu. Note: All Adobe, Filemaker, McAfee and Symantec software ordered through this contract must be downloaded onto an SJSU campus computer with an SJSU IP address. A select list of Microsoft software is approved for home use as long as it will be used at least 80% of the time at home for University work.
SJSU campus departments can obtain Macromedia software at special contract prices by ordering directly from Technology Resource Center (TRC). Orders can be placed on-line or by phone, fax or mail. Use your Procurement Card for payment. Once an order has been placed with TRC, the CSU Chancellor's office will be notified and will send requestors an email message with the install code and a link to download the ordered software. Note: All Macromedia software ordered through this contract must be downloaded onto an SJSU campus computer with an SJSU IP address.
SAS and SPSS are statistical packages of software. The prices are $75.00 for SAS plus SETINITS (SETINITS is the license that you need in order to run SAS) and $15.00 for SPSS plus license. To order, please make a check out to SJSU Academic Technology. Credit cards are not accepted. For more information about SAS/SPSS software, please contact Steve Sloan, SJSU University Help Desk/Academic Technology, at 408-924-2374 or steve.sloan@sjsu.edu. Note: All SAS/SPSS software ordered through this contract must be downloaded onto an SJSU campus computer with an SJSU IP address.
SJSU Faculty and staff may obtain the following Microsoft software for home use as long as it will be used at least 80% of the time at home for University work.
Note: The above listed software applications are the ONLY software applications that faculty and staff can obtain at special contract prices for home use.
The Microsoft Student Select Agreement allows students to purchase Microsoft software at significantly reduced prices. This agreement covers Microsoft Office Professional and Microsoft Windows XP Professional. Students can contact the Spartan Bookstore for software pricing and ordering information.
