This page is designed to provide the information you need to change your old legacy SJSU UNIX password. You must already have a valid UNIX password to use this procedure. Note: this is only for faculty and staff with legacy UNIX accounts. New UNIX accounts are no longer provided for e-mail.

You must know your current UNIX user name and current UNIX password to change your own UNIX password.
If you do not know your current UNIX user name and current UNIX password then go to this page.
You must make an Internet connection via a network connection, on the SJSU wired network or with your ISP. It is not safe to use Telnet on a wireless network connection unless you are certain that connection is encrypted.
Follow the instructions to Telnet to the SJSU UNIX server.
