Interim Progress Review Conference
During September/October of each year, supervisors should schedule interim progress review conferences with their bargaining unit 1, 4, 6, and 8 employees. The purpose of the conference is to communicate progress on the goals and action plans that were established during the performance review conference held the previous May. Position descriptions are also reviewed and the priority weight assignments discussed. If warranted, adjustments to any of the priority weights previously assigned can be made and communicated during this conference.
The same process should apply for bargaining units 2, 5, 7, and 9. It is recommended that a supervisor provide this interim feedback at the half-way mark of an employee's review cycle.
The performance review form is not filled out for this interim progress review conference; however, it may be useful for prompting any discussions regarding the performance factors.
Both supervisors and employees are encouraged to use this conference as an opportunity to engage in meaningful job-related communication.
