San Jose State University has three parking garages and a park and ride lot:
On your first day of work, you may wish to purchase a Single Day parking permit for $8. Automated pay stations are located in the South (7th Street) Garage or North (10 th Street) Garage. The pay stations accept coins, $1, $5 and $10 bills. Single day permits are not available or valid in our West (4th Street) Garage.
After you obtain your Tower Card at your New Hire Orientation, you may purchase a semester, year or multi-year parking permit. You may also choose to pay for your parking permit through payroll deduction.
All employees are encouraged to use public transportation whenever possible. For more information, see Transportation.
