Career Development
To be eligible for the Career Development Fee Waiver Program, employees first need to apply to San José State University, be accepted and become a student working toward a degree.
First-time Career Development Employees
- Contact the Organizational Development & Training Specialist at 924-2141 to have the $55 University application fee waived
- Submit a University Application to Admissions & Records and be accepted by the University
- Submit a Staff Fee Waiver Career Development Application to Human Resources (0046). This fee waiver application has sections to be completed
by:
- The employee
- The employee's supervisor
- A general education advisor
- An academic subject adivsor from the employee's major department
Returning Career Development Employees
- Submit a Staff Career Development Update Application
- Complete and submit a new form each semester
