Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering at SJSU
A volunteer is defined as, "any person who, of his own free will, provides goods or services, without any financial gain, to any state agency", per Government Code 3110, et seq. If you would like to volunteer at SJSU, please complete our Volunteer Request and Appointment Package (PDF) so that Human Resources can properly recognize you as an SJSU volunteer.

Annual one-day volunteer program to enhance local schools, parks, and neighborhoods - King Library volunteer
Join the docent team and provide tours of this one-of-a-kind library. Lectures by experts and on-site training will be provided - SJSU Campus Emergency Response Team
Join the Campus Emergency Response Team (CERT)! Participants receive basic training in disaster preparedness, fire suppression, disaster medicine, light search & rescue, team organization and disaster psychology.
Volunteering Locally
Outside the University, there are many volunteer opportunities from which to choose. Each provides an excellent opportunity for co-workers and colleagues to contribute to and create a shared community.
