Welcome! Here in the Hospitality, Recreation & Tourism Management Department we offer
two outstanding undergraduate degree programs:
Friday, May 24th at 6pm (graduates should arrive by 5:15pm)
Location: Lawn between King Library and Science Building
- Graduation Cost $25 (this allows you and up to 8 guests to occupy seats)
- Additional guests are welcome (and free) but we ask that you only occupy 8 seats. OK to bring lawn chairs for additional guests.
- Purchase cap and gown at the SJSU Bookstore.
- Parking is free in all SJSU parking garages, and people should allow extra time for traffic since other department ceremonies will be going on at that time.
- Students should arrive by 5:20 and sign in at the registration table.
- The department Chair would like all graduates to stop by the Hospitality Management Office (SPX50) and fill out an “Exit Interview” form after you purchase your ticket.
- Only for students graduating in Fall 2012, Spring 2013, Summer 2013.

The Hospitality, Tourism & Event Management degree program incorporates multicultural-focused academic study in hotel and lodging, food and beverage, tourism, and event management with professional experiences (e.g. our Pebble Beach Connection) designed to facilitate students' transition to their chosen career.
The nationally accredited undergraduate Recreation degree program prepares students
for successful careers in public and private parks, recreation agencies, schools and
universities, hospitals, clinics, and non-profit public service organizations. The
Masters degree program in Recreation is designed to facilitate advanced and in-depth
study among professionals looking to be on the leading edge of change in the field
and society.
