Lowrider Magazine Scholarship Fund

P.O. Box 6930 Fullerton, CA 92834 (714) 213-1000 Deadline: May 31 Amount: $1,000. The $1,000 scholarships are awarded to Hispanic students. Students must submit a personal profile consisting of name, address, phone number, Social Security number, age, ethnic background, and college major; a photograph; a one-page essay outlining their financial situation; official, sealed transcripts demonstrating that the applicant is a college sophomore, junior, or senior with at least a 3.0 GPA; two letters of recommendation; and a two-page essay.

Lucius & Eva Eastman Fund

Deadline: Deadlines are the 1st of January, May, and September. A foundation that supports filmmakers and organizations geared for film based in the NYC area. Mainly provides completion funds for a variety of documentary and narrative projects. No specific criteria for selection. Rarely provides development funds. Contact: Lucius R. Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of New Mexico 

Residencies are available to persons involved in creative, not interpretive, work in the fields of writing, painting, sculpture, musical composition, and allied arts. Residency grants are made in the form of rent-free and utility free accommodations, normally for three months. The Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of New Mexico, Attn: Executive Director, P.O.
