Rooms
Men and
women generally live on separate floors at the International House.
However, exceptions are occasionally made based on demand. Bedrooms are fully furnished and include "bed, desk, chair, dresser, and walk-in closet".
Each floor has its own bathroom facilities.
Residents are responsible for the upkeep of their bedroom. The
bathrooms and common rooms of the House are cleaned daily Monday
through Friday.
Residents provide their own linen which can be bought upon arrival
in San Jose. Although we recommend purchasing your own linen,
linen can be rented from the International House and costs $50
for a refundable deposit, plus a $50 non-refundable use fee. A
linen packet includes: sheets, pillowcase, blanket, bedspread,
and pillow.
On
each floor with bedrooms, residents have access to an ironing
board and iron.
There is a public telephone on the 1st floor, and residents also
have a phone line in the bedroom
