Study Abroad Fair

Learn how to STAND OUT by Studying Abroad! Check out the more than 200 program destinations we offer. Chat with Study Abroad Alumni, Faculty and Staff about their experiences and recommendations for studying abroad

International Coffee Hour 

Every Monday 

12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Location: Student Union, Room 1B

Come enjoy great company and conversation! This is an opportunity to meet new friends from across the SJSU campus and around the world in a casual and comfortable environment. Free food and coffee will be provided. No registration is necessary. This event is co-sponsored by the Office of International Student and Scholar Services and Counseling and Psychological Services.

F-1 Employment Workshops

Every Thursday- 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Every Friday- 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Location: Student Union West, International Student and Scholar Services Office

Join our International Student Advisors as they discuss different forms of work authorization available to F-1 visa holders. Students who plan to apply for work authorization are required to attend one of these workshops. Application forms will be handed out during the workshop. The session will end with a question and answer session.  

Change of Status Workshops

The first and last Tuesday of every month.

3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Location: Student Union West, International Student and Scholar Services Office

This workshop is aimed at helping SJSU new or current students change status to F-1. Attendance at the workshop is mandatory prior to submitted a Change of Status application. The session will end with a question and answer session.  

Study Abroad Info Session

Various days, times, and locations

These sessions cover topics such as study abroad locations, eligibility, deadlines, courses, payments, academics, and more. They are a first step for interested students to learn more about the study abroad process and ask any questions they may have. If students still have questions after attending an information session, they may make an appointment with an Study Abroad Advisor.
